Pvt. William G. Hughes was with the 12th Regiment Co. G. He resided in Randolph County and enlisted in Wake County at the age of 26, February 26, 1863, for the war. Present or accounted for until captured at Petersburg, Va., April 2nd 1865. Confined at Point Lookout, maryland until released on June 27th 1865, after taking the Oath of Allegiance. He is Jackson Ellison, Thomas Ellison, John Ellison & William Ellison's great great grandfather Some of the battles he fought in are: Mine Run Campaign, Battle of Spotsylvania, Cold Harbor, New Market, Hatcher's Run, Battle of Five Fork, Gettysburg 

Sgt. William H. Patterson 26th Regiment Co. G. was enlisted in Chatham County, at the age of 25, June 10, 1861.Mustered in as Private and was promoted to Sgt. in May-June 1862. Reduced to ranks in October - December 1862. Present or accounted for until paroled at Appomattox Count House, Va.,april 9th 1865. He is Jackson Ellison, Thomas Ellison, John Ellison & William Ellison's great grand father. Some of the Battles he fought are: Gettysburg, Cemetery Ridge, Bristoe Station, Cold Harbor, Battle of the Wilderness, Battle of Five Fork, Va. 

Pvt. William M. Clapp 1st Regimant Co. H. Resided in Guilford County where he enlisted at age 34, July 8th 1862, for the war. present or accounted for until admitted to hospital at Farmville, Va., June 10th 1863 with "Chronic Rheumatism." returned to duty and detailed as shoemaker at Richmond, Va., december 4th 1863. Assigned as guard at jackson Hospital, Richmond Va., February 21st 1864. Reported as present on hospital muster rolls until admitted to hospital October 17th, 1864 with acute diarrhea. "Furlong him for 60 days on December 22nd 1864. Hospitalmuster rolls dated Feb. 28th 1865,carries him as 'Absent without leave." He is Jackson Ellison, Thomas Ellison, John Elliosn & William Ellison's great great grandfather. 
2nd Sergeant Elbert Sevier Keener 16 NC Thomas Legion Company F. Discharged in 1865. Buried at Jackson County NC, Thomas Memorial Cemetery. He is Bobby Hugh Keener's GGG grandfather.

Pvt. John R. Pope Enlisted in Wake County on january 1, 1864, for the war. Present or accounted for until hospitalized at Richmond va., November 29, 1864. Died in hospital at Richmond on december 25, 1864. Cause of death not reported. Also Dwain Roberts ancestor. Pvt. James Presnell Born in randolph County where he resided as a laborer prior to enlisting in Randolph County at age 33, March 24, 1862. Killed in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, July 3, 1863. He is Dwain Roberts ancestor. Pvt. Jesse Reeves Resided in Duplin County and enlisted in Wake County at age 19, October 1, 1862, for the war. Wounded at Gettysburg, Pa., July 3, 1863. Captured at or near Cashtown, Pa., July 4, 1863. Hospitalized at Chester, Pa. Paroled and tranferred to City Point, Va., where he was received on august 20, 1863, for exchange. reported absent wounded through october 31, 1863. Died in hospital at Richmond, Va., December 31, 1863, of "typhoid pneumonia." Dwain Roberts ancestor. Pvt Andrew Revells Resided in Randolph County where he enlisted at age 18, June 22, 1863, for the war. Died in hospital at Gordonsville, Va., August 30, 1863 of " febris typhoides." He is Dwain Roberts ancestor. Pvt Willis Ridge Resided in Randolph County and enlisted at age 40, November 7, 1862, for the war. Dropped from the rolls of the company prior to March 1, 1863. Reason he was dropped not reported. He is Dwain Roberts ancestor. Pvt AHI C. Robbins Resided in Randolph County where he enlisted at age 24, June 22, 1863, for the war. Reported present or accounted for on surviving company muster rolls through April, 1864. Captured at or near Bottom's bridge, on the Chickahminy River, Va., on or about June 13, 1864. Sent to City Point, Va. Confined at Point Lookout, Maryland, June 24, 1864. Released at Point Lookout, Maryland, June 27, 1864, after taking the Oath of Allegiance. He is Dwain Roberts ancestor.
